Dahlia's story
**Watch my video to get to know me a little better! ** Are you looking for a super chilled, sweet gal that is a devoted companion

well behaved in the home, yard and car? That is ME! Pick ME! Hi! Dahlias my name and being sweet like the flower is my game. Im a 6-year-old black beauty.  My ideal weight would be around 50 pounds.  The shelter put me on a DIET

YIKES + an exercise program

lots of walks which I am more than happy to do.  I need to lose around 10 pounds.  I say those extra 10 pounds mean more to love but no one agrees with me.  No matter my weight, Im gorgeous inside and out. Im TRULY such a wonderful, comforting companion that I get many sleep overs with volunteers. Ohhhh, I have the best time. Im quiet, calm, super relaxed and chill. My sleep overs include watching old movies, eating popcorn and snuggling together on the couch. I recently won an award at the shelter for being The Best Snuggle Bug. That is my PERFECT evening. Is it yours, too? I enjoy a back yard with a 4 picket fenced in yard

no trying to escape for me. Why would I want to? It is pure heaven taking sun baths and enjoying the outdoors. Need a perfect car companion? That is ME! I jump in the car ready for take-off looking out at all the sites along the way. I have even waited in the car for a volunteer to go to appointments. No problem for me as long as it isnt too hot - so if we do that, maybe in the winter, ok? I just take a snooze or look out the window watching people come and go. When one of my new friends met me today, she said when she walked up to me; I was gazing at her with soft, sweet eyes. They are big and brown, too. Like saucers. Yep, every part of my being is soft and sweet. Im also a little reserved, though; and my pals think I would probably do best in a quieter home, one with older children. Thats just cuz my more reserved and calm personality probably wouldnt mesh the best with those little ones running around all over the place.  I used to be just fine with other dogs but things happen and I really want to be your one and only.   So, are you looking for a Black Beauty? Sometimes us black dogs have a tougher time getting adopted out. Heres to hoping that you will be here soon to pick me out of the crowd and whisk me off to be your best girl.Lots of hugs and kisses, Dahlia
